The TaylorMade M5/M6 DRIVERS – New Golf Club Reviews
SPEED-INJECTED, PERSONALIZED PERFORMANCE
JUICED-UP WITH SPEED INJECTED TWIST FACE
All TaylorMade M5/M6 driver heads have been individually injected to reach the threshold of the maximum legal limit of ball speed. So, whether you’re fighting for your club championship or battling it out in your weekend four ball, you’ll be playing with a driver that’s engineered to make everybody faster.
SPEED INJECTED™
- Each head is individually speed-tested and injected with tuning resin to optimize COR across the entire face.
- Also, the Speed Injection process is designed to maximize ball speed and distance. The TaylorMade M5/M6 drivers achieve performance at or near the legal limit.
TWIST FACE™
- Revolutionary face curvature with a corrective face angle on off-center hits, engineered to reduce side spin and deliver straighter shots.
- Twist Face provides more loft in the high toe and less loft in the low heel to produce more consistent spin where golfers commonly mishit.
INVERSE T-TRACK
- The new, more efficient Inverse T-Track enables two 10g weights to be maneuvered for optimal spin and trajectory.
- In addition, the inverted design allows the weight to be positioned further back along the perimeter of the club, lowering the CG and increasing MOI/forgiveness.
HAMMERHEAD 2.0
- The new, more flexible Hammerhead slot also works with Speed Injected Twist Face to produce a larger sweet spot and preserve ball speed on off-center strikes.
What The Experts Are Saying About The TaylorMade M5/M6 Drivers
“The M5 driver has a new multi-material head, designed as close as possible to the speed limit through a new breakthrough face technology. Using a new manufacturing process, each head has been individually speed tested on multiple positions before being strategically injected with tuning resin to achieve the tightest possible tolerance to the legal limit of speed. Further, this optimized face combined with a more efficient inverse T-Track delivers a fast, forgiving, and personalized driver that’s designed to increase ball speed for every golfer.”
***** Todd Beach – TaylorMade Senior Vice President R&D and Engineering
“What TaylorMade has done with Injected Twist Face is allowed us to have a hotter face that feels more stable. The fact that it’s at the legal limit and that’s as fast as you’re gonna get. You’ll have the confidence to blow it by your competition when you step up to the tee.”
*****Tiger Woods – PGA Tour Professional
“Every Single Head – Injected and Calibrated to the Threshold of the Speed Limit.
While the rest of the Golf World was chasing speed, we were perfecting it with Speed Injected
Twist Face. This is a revolutionary process of strategically injecting each head to bring it as close as possible

Your content was much informative & helpful than other contents. It helped me a lot. But I have a question. Is the M3 heavier or relatively the same compared to M4? What is the main difference?
Kimberly, thank you for your comments. The M3 and M4 are relatively the same technology and weight wise although they have a slight difference in appearance. However, with the M4 you have a lesser amount of adjustable features. This makes it more user-friendly for amateur golfers than the M3.
The Hammerhead and Twist Face designs were first available in the M3. These are fascinating new features that I think were available in both M3 and M4. In general, how does M3 compare with the M4?
Is the M3 lighter, heavier or relatively the same compared to M4? Were there any significant improvements in the shape of the driver head (M3 or M4)? Overall, I’m curious to know if TaylorMade’s intention was to improve drivers for professional players only. I’m wondering if their Big Data analysis focused on improving drivers for amateurs, as well.
Look forward to your comments. Thanks.
Thank you for your comments. The new M5 and M6 TaylorMade drivers have picked up where the M3 and M4 left off. These are great drivers for 2019, no matter what shaft you select. To answer your comment, The M4 driver is $70 less expensive than the M3 but still offers
most of the same technologies, except for the Y-Track adjustable weight
system. As a replacement for the previous M2 driver, the M4 is aimed
specifically at players looking for straight distance and forgiveness.
Like the M3, the M4 is built with groundbreaking Twist Face technology
for improved performance on low-heel and high-toe hits, and Hammerhead
Slot technology for faster ball speed and distance. Weight wise relatively the same.
The shafts are different. All in all, I think the clubs will benefit the shot making of both professionals and amateurs. Amateurs probably more so because of more off-center hits. I am hoping these clubs do all that TaylorMade says they will. Most golfers could use straighter drives off the tee!
